2008-06-10 - New Directions
We have been hosting killboards for over a year now and we have alot of satisfied customers and we currently host around 30 Corporations and 8 large alliances. I will be the first to admit that I never thought we would be this popular.
We have been discussing this in the office for around a month now and we have decided that we cant keep setting clients up the we are anymore so we are consolidating all our killboards to run from a single database rather than a independant database for each client.
What does this mean to you?
Well now all the prices are global so the value of your kills against any of the other corps on the database will be constant.
What does this mean for us?Updating the boards is a 10-15minute job compaired to a 3hour job.
The setup time for the boards is roughly halved.
2008-06-10 - EMPYREAN AGE
Well CCP have done it again... Another new expansion and yet more ways to mess with killboards that were working perfectly well before they got near them... Our staff and the guys at EvE-Dev are working on getting a patch released for the boards. Upon the release of the new version of the killboard ALL current customers are requested to mail a member of our team so we can add add the mods you require to your package. We hope to have a new version of the boards ready for deployment in the coming days/weeks.
2008-02-26 - Recent Outage
As some of you may have noticed we ran out of bandwidth earlier this week due to a vastly increased traffic load.
The server load has been adjusted and more bandwidth allocated to this system. Anyone that feels that they deserve some compensation for the recent outages can mail me directly in game and I will investigate the situation on a case by case basis.
2007-12-17 - Upcoming Changes
Since we started hosting killboards over 9 months ago we have tried to make sure that everyone gets the best performance possible from our servers.
To this end we have disabled posting on ALL killboards that have not had a new kill posted on them since the beginning of November 2007.
If the owners of the boards wish to resume the service they must contact one of our reps before January 1st 2008.
This move is to make room for more clients and to improve performance for existing clients.
2007-12-17 - Killboard Upgrades - Part 2
Well it has been an interesting time here with the new Trinity killboard system but it is beginning to look like these killboards are as stable as they are going to get them for the forseable future.
Any corporation/alliance that is looking for a killboard from today will be put onto a Trinity killboard.
Any corporation/alliance that is currently hosted with us will be migrated to a trinity board starting from January 2nd 2008.
2007-12-07 - Killboard Upgrades! - Rollback
Ok, we have came to the decision that we will NOT be doing a full roll out of the new killboard system until a stable version is released.
Any client that requests the Trinity Killboard does so with the knowledge that the coding is buggy and some items may be put into the wrong category when posted.
The Trinity version of the boards will also be with a limited support as it is still a BETA version of the software.
2007-12-07 - Killboard Upgrades!
As Trinity has finally went live we have been working on upgrading all killboards hosted with us to accomodate the new features.
Currently there are only a few that we have upgraded due to some problems with the new coding. The coding is being worked on and we hope to be able to roll out the new boards in the coming days.
